SUMMARY:Evaluation Toolbox Series
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce a new four-part training experience designed to sharpen skills and increase program evaluation capacity! The Evaluation Toolbox explores the basics of a well-done evaluation project\, including key documents\, management processes\, and creating a shared understanding of what evaluation is and why we do it. \nWhile the four workshops can be taken together to provide a baseline understanding of evaluation that is designed to launch a new evaluator\, trainings can also be taken individually – it’s totally up to you to design a learning experience that meets your needs. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLogic Models and Performance Measurement | September 15\, 2026 | Two hours | Sandy Moir | Register now!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will learn about logic models. This will include how logic models fit in the results-based management continuum and how they are used by evaluators. Participants will learn about the components of logic models and best practices in their development. They will gain hands-on experience developing logic models in both individual and group settings. Participants will also learn about indicators and will gain hands-on experience developing indicators. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvaluation Design | September 22\, 2026 | Two hours | Sandy Moir | Register now!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will learn about the different types of evaluations and will be able to choose the right evaluation type/product to suit their organization’s needs. Participants will also learn the theory behind evaluation scoping and design\, and gain hands-on experience developing evaluation questions and indicators. Participants will also learn the steps in an evaluation \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInstrument Design and Data Collection | September 29\, 2026 | Two hours | Sandy Moir | Register now!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will learn how to develop an evaluation matrix and how to design instruments based on the matrix. They will also learn about the options for evaluation methods\, including their pros and cons\, and how to choose the right ones for each indicator. Participants will also learn best practices in interview guide development and gain hands-on experience developing an interview guide. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nApproaches to Analysis and Reporting for Evaluation | October 15\, 2026 | Three hours | Sandy Moir | Register now! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn how to analyze data in evaluation\, including capturing data in evidence matrices\, analyzing by line of evidence\, triangulation\, and developing findings. This will include balancing conflicting evidence and strategies for communicating difficult findings. Participants will also learn to identify the types of reports and typical reporting structures.
