New PD course: Rapid Impact Evaluation with Andy Rowe
CES Ontario is pleased to announce Rapid Impact Evaluation, an opportunity to learn directly from Andy Rowe about the evaluation method he created. Rapid Impact Evaluation offers the ability to evaluate the impacts of a program using developmental and formative evaluation as well as summative. RIE triangulates perspectives of three separate groups of experts. Three methodologies that are central to RIE will provide learners with a firm understanding to apply RIE. RIE is a cost-efficient and quick approach to assessing impacts and does not intrude on design or implementation of the program. Evaluation learners will benefit when they add RIE to their toolbox of evaluation methods.
When: October 18 - 29, 2021 (three online workshop modules; three optional learning labs) Course duration: 12 hours Where: Zoom Cost: $300 for CES Members; $400 for General Admission (note: this is a one-time introductory price and will not be offered again) Registration deadline: October 12, 2021 Registration URL: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/rapid-impact-evaluation-tickets-160790307137 Questions/Contact: Kaitlyn at admin@evaluationontario.ca

Statement on Kamloops Indian Residential School
Earlier this week, CES-ON released a statement about the discovery of the bodies of 215 Indigenous children at the Kamloops Indian Residential School. In light of more recent discoveries, we reiterate our condolences to all Indigenous people and communities, and stand with them as they grieve.
Our statement included several hotlines and links to resources. We encourage those who may need support to reach out, and for others to support these organizations in their work.

Have you registered for Integrating Feminist Approaches into Evaluation?
CES-ON is pleased to invite you to our Summer Webinar: Integrating Feminist Approaches Into Evaluation. For more than a decade, Oxfam Canada (OCA) has been developing and refining feminist approaches to assess and learn from projects in a way that challenges us to think differently about knowledge and power – redefining who and what is valued most. This webinar will unpack the seven foundations highlighted in the OCA Guidance Note on Feminist Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), as well as explore examples of how projects have leveraged these foundations in recent evaluations. On Jul 28, CES members are invited to attend a free one-hour webinar with Anna Du Vent. This webinar will explore recent projects that have used OCA's Guidance Note, and discuss ways of integrating this approach into your own evaluations.
When: July 28, 2021, 12 PM - 1 PM Where: Zoom Cost: Free for CES Members Registration deadline: July 27, 2021 Registration URL: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/webinar-integrating-feminist-approaches-into-evaluation-tickets-158485844427 Questions/Contact: Kaitlyn at admin@evaluationontario.ca
