Save the Date for our Online AGM!
- June 23, 9:30 AM - 12 PM
- Online!
- Registration details to come
Dear Chapter members, CES – Ontario is pleased to announce that the chapter's 24rd Annual General Meeting will be held online on June 23, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The move to an online AGM is in response to both the COVID pandemic and to our members’ desire for more online formats accessible to evaluators across Ontario. We will send out registration information in the coming weeks, so for now, please save the date.
Why Attend the AGM? The AGM is a great opportunity to:
- Learn more about recent chapter activities and how we plan to address feedback from our recent members survey; - Elect new board members and approve any bylaw changes; - Participate in the annual Learning Event. We are looking for presenters/facilitators. If you have something you would like to share, please reach out to us membership@evaluationontario.ca.
Looking forward to seeing you online!

The Art and Science of Producing Effective Infographics

- Online webinar

Data visualization as a hot topic in the evaluation world, especially in knowledge transfer activities. This 2-hour webinar will focus on a specific type of data visualization, infographics – artistic or graphic presentation of data to communicate insights. We will briefly orient infographics in the realm of data visualization, illustrating the different types of infographics. Then our focus will shift briefly to the science of why we use infographics in communicating to our various audiences (clients and funders). The bulk of the time will be focused on a step by step process to create infographics, and including relevant design elements of graphics, colour, and font, which provide the visual cues to our most important element: the data. We will then put these elements together with examples, and then look at some resources and tools for infographic production. The session will conclude with a short question and answer period.
