Volunteer with Eval Café

Since 2011, Evaluation Café Ontario has been connecting those interested in evaluation to each other and supporting peer-learning/support.  Originally, Evaluation Café Toronto only hosted in-person meetings in Toronto, but since COVID 19, we have expanded to a hybrid in-person and online model to serve all of Ontario, and beyond.

The last of the original group of organizers (Paul Bakker) has now moved farther from the GTA, and now needs help organizing events; especially in-person ones.  A co-organizer is needed for Evaluation Café Ontario to continue.

Co-Organizer Tasks

As an Evaluation Café Co-organizer, you will help plan and facilitate in-person and online events.  Currently, we aim for a total of 6 a year.

Tasks may include:

  • Outreach to colleagued to secure topics, presenters, or facilitators.
  • Outreach to membership to get feedback and monitoring interest in various topics.
  • Planning event agenda.
  • Booking locations and organizing refreshments.
  • Promoting events.
  • Facilitating events.

The amount of effort should not be more than a few hours a month, with additional time to attend the events.

Co-Organizer Benefits

You will benefit from being an Evaluation Café Co-organizer by:

  • Getting to know a large network of peers that you can work/collaborate with.
  • Getting a large network of peers get to know you.
  • Learn and grow your evaluation practice.
  • Stay on top of evaluation trends and innovations.
