Eval Cafe: The Intersection of Race and Gender in Evaluation

October 5, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

As a segue from Evaluation Café’s recent dialogue on anti-black racism in evaluation, this next session will examine the intersection of race and gender in evaluation, building on a group’s experience and expertise. As some projects, programs and organizations are lacking in sensitivity of race and gender, evaluation can be a catalyst for change, and the conditions for this will be discussed. Looking inward, if the evaluation process and systems are insensitive to race and gender, this adds another layer to the challenge and needs to be responded to.

Chairs of this event:

Abena Thomas – public health, evaluation and project management specialist, and instructor in international project management

Marcus Tan de Bibiana – peacebuilding and governance project management specialist, arts advisor and instructor in international project management
